Project Abstract

A project undertaken for my graphics module at university, in which we had to develop graphic poster concepts for a product/exhibition/pretty much anything, and build it out into a 360 marketing campaign.

This involved everything from the posters themselves, to placements, to other formats. Including, but not limited to; tube posters, tube escalator posters, bus sidings, online flash ads, website placements, ticket design.

My idea was an exhibition at the V&A museum all about space, including the past, emotions, and stories of spaceflight; looking forward to the future of the human race, and how spaceflight could be our only hope.

The posters were made of a few elements, photography of famous space craft, and quotes. There was a series of 4 core posters, which are below.

"All civilisations become either spacefaring, or extinct." - Carl Sagan

"It's a fixer-upper of a planet, but we can make it work." - Elon Musk

"We go, not because it is easy, but because it is hard." - John F. Kennedy

360 Marketing Placements

Whilst the posters are pretty, not every advertising space is a pretty little A3/A2 hole. In fact, most aren't - especially Above the Line spaces. Below you can see a few examples of real-whole placements, customised for their surroundings.
